Jacob Zallel Lauterbach (1873-1942) was an American Jewish scholar.

Biography

Jewish talmudic scholar, Reform rabbi. Born in Galicia, in America from 1903. Professor at Hebrew Union College, 1911-34. Edited Mekhilta and translated it into English (1933). A prolific contributor to the Jewish Encyclopedia.
