Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was a French artist.

Biography

Born in Paris [France], Gaugin is a one of most renowned French post-Impressionist French painters. While in Tahiti, Gaugin attempted at an harmonization between Christianity and local culture, which resulted in a series of paintings focusing on the maternity of Mary.
