Alfred Plummer (1841-1926), scholar

Alfred Plummer (1841-1926) was a British scholar.

Biography

Alfred Plummer was born at Heworth, Gateshead, in 1841.

He was Fellow at Trinity College Oxford (1865), and Professor of New Testament (1874) at the University College Durham.

He wrote commentaries to several NT documents.

He died in Devonshire in 1926.
