Eric S. Gruen (b.1935) is a Austrian-born American scholar.
Biography
PhD (1964), at Harvard University. Gladys Rehard Wood Professor of History and Classics at the University of California, Berkeley (since 1966). Served as president of the American Philological Association in 1992.
