Luke Timothy Johnson (b.1943) is an American scholar.

Biography

NT scholar. Born at Park Falls, WI, from 1963 to 1972 Johnson joined the Benedictine monk. He then earned his PhD (1976) from Yale University. He is R.W. Woodruff Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins at Candler School of Theology and a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University.
