Henry Pereira Mendes (1852-1937) was a British-born Jewish-American playwright.

Biography

Born in Birmingham, England. Rabbi. Moved to live in the United Staes in 1877. Professor at Jewish Theological Seminary. Among the founders and leaders of American Orthodox Judaism.
