Born in New York City to Italian immigrants from Tricarico, Mestice was ordained a priest in 1949. In 1973, he was appointed auxiliary Bishop of New York, until 2001. Died in Saint John's Island, SC.  
De Falco was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Rosario and Margret (née Desmone) DeFalco. His father was originally from Atena Lucana, Italy and worked as a streetcar company foreman. De Falco served as Bishop of Amarillo from 1963 to 1979.

Lawrence Michael De Falco (1915-1979) -- Catholic Bishop (Amarillo TX, 1963-1979)

De Falco was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Rosario and Margret (née Desmone) DeFalco. His father was originally from Atena Lucana, Italy and worked as a streetcar company foreman. De Falco served as Bishop of Amarillo from 1963 to 1979.
