{fr} Les deux gosses / {en} The Two Boys [1] (France, 1924), directed by Louis Mercanton, starring Jean Forest. <silent>
Based on the 1880 novel of the same name by Pierre Decourcelle.
Comte Georges de Kerlor, convinced that his wife has been cheating on him, and that little Jean, the boy whom he has been raising as his son, is not in fact his own, entrusts the poor boy to a petty criminal nicknamed La Limace (Slug), who already has a boy of his own, Claudinet. Jean is renamed Fanfan, and as he grows up with Claudinet, the two boys become inseparable. <BoyActors>
It was remade as a sound film in 1936.
