Antonio Pitta (b.1959) is an Italian scholar.

Biography

Antonio Pitta, born in Lucera (Foggia) in 1959, Catholic priest, received his doctorate in biblical exegesis at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome in 1991 and graduated in Patristics from the Augustinianum of Rome. A specialist in Pauline Studies, is currently dean of the Pontifical Theological Seminary of Southern Italy. Coordinator of the New Testament group and member of the Board of Directors of the Associazione Biblica Italiana.
