Maria Gustava Gyllenstierna (1672-1737) was a Swedish scholar, translator, poet. One of the most learned women of her epoch, she was an accomplished author of religious and secular poetry, including five hundred or so (unpublished) sonnets about the life and death of Jesus (1730-36). She translated the works of Josephus into Swedish, based on the French edition by Arnauld d'Andilly.
