John Goodrich Gager, Jr. (b.1937) is an American scholar.

Biography

B.A., M.Div. at Yale University. Ph.D. at Harvard University. Gager has also studied at the Sorbonne (Paris) and at the University of Tubingen (Germany). Formerly William H. Danforth Professor of Religion at Princeton (1968-2006).
