Isaak Markus Jost (1793-1860) was a Jewish-German scholar.

Biography

Historian. Supporter of Reform Judaism and pioneer of modern Jewish historiography. Studied at the Universities of Göttingen and Berlin. Upper Master in the Jewish Commercial School of Frankfurt. Translated the Mishnah into German (1832-34).
