Gustaf Emanuel Hildebrand (1879-1977) was a Swedish scholar.

Biography

Christian clergyman and theologian. Educated at Uppsala University, became professor of Systematic Theology at Lund University in 1913, and then Bishop of Strängnäs in 1933.

Works on Second Temple Judaism

Aulén was a theologian. His scholarly contribution to the field of Second Temple Judaism consists of a survey of the history of research on the historical Jesus.
