Israel Antonio Zolli (Zoller; 1881-1956) was a Jewish-Italian scholar.
Biography
Born in Galicia. Graduated at the University of Florence. Rabbi of Trieste and then Rome. Author of many works on Bible interpretation. Took refuge in the Vatican during WW2. In 1945 became Catholic and professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, taking on the name Eugenio Pio Zolli in honor of Pope Pius XII (Eugenio Pacelli).
