Salome's Dance (1907) is a vaudeville ballet by Mlle. Dazie (chor.).

Abstract

Mlle. Dazie was the first vaudeville dancer to perform Salome before an American audience in Florence Ziegfeld's Follies of 1907. Based loosely on Oscar Wilde's play, Salomé, and on Richard Strauss's opera, Mlle. Dazie's version of the Dance of the Seven Veils became famous (and to some notorious) and her example was followed by many other vaudeville dancers.
