The Birth to Mary refers to an episode in the live of Mary of Nazareth, as narrated in the Protoevangelium of James.

Overview

Nothing is said in the earliest Gospels about the birth and childhood of Mary and her family. In the mid-2nd century CE the Protoevangelium of James provided a narrative modeled after the birth of John the Baptist.
