Michael Allan Cook (b.1940) is a British scholar, also active in the United States. Educated at King's College, Cambridge (1959-1963) and completed his postgraduate Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (1963-66) under Bernard Lewis. He taught islamic Studies at SOAS (1966-1986). In 1986 he moved to the United States, as Professor of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University.
