Florentino García Martínez (b.1942) is a Spanish scholar, at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Born in Mochales, Molina de Aragón (Spain) in 1942. Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Theology, Dept. of Biblical Studies. He is also director, since 1992, of the Groningen Qumran Institute for Research into the Dead Sea Scrolls and Ancient Judaism at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands).
