Samuel George Frederick Brandon (1907-1971) was a British scholar.

Biography

British scholar of comparative religion. Educated at the University of Leeds, spent his early professional career as an ordained parish priest in the Anglican Church. After serving as an army chaplain in World War 2 in North Africa, Brandon was appointed Professor of Comparative Religion at the University of Manchester (England) in 1951.
