Life of Jesus (1894) is a series of paintings / book illustrations by James Tissot, at Brooklyn Museum, New York, NY.
Overview
The series of illustrations made by James Tissot between 1886 and 1894 are among the most influential representations of Jesus in the history of art. They created the "contemporary" view of Jesus and directly influenced the first Jesus movies. They cover virtually all episodes of the life of Jesus, from his Nativity to his Passion and Resurrection
