Anthony Gilby (1510-1585) was a British scholar and translator. A Puritan clergyman, Gilby was educated at Christ's College, Cambridge. From 1555 he settled in Geneva, Switzerland, where he became one of the main assistants to William Whittingham in the publication of the Geneva Bible (1557-1560 Whittingham), book.
