Samuel Purchas

Samuel Purchas (1577-1626) was an English cleric and author. In his monumental work on ecclesiastical, theological and geographical history, he included Urreta's report on the existence of the Book of Enoch in Ethiopia and the first English translation of the Enoch Fragments of Syncellus.
