William Barclay (1907-1978) was a Scottish scholar.
Biography
William Barclay was born at Wick on December 5, 1907.
After attending the University of Glasgow (1925-29), he became a minister in the Church of Scotland. In 1947 he joined the Faculty of the University of Glasgow as Lecturer and then (1963) Professor of Divinity and Biblical Criticism.
