Born in Tulare, CA. Studied at California State University in Bakersfield, and California State University in Chico. She got her PhD at UCLA and did post-graduate studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Former historian and archeologist, is the co-author (with her husband, W. Michael Gear) of numerous bestselling novels.
