Solomon Schechter (1847-1915) was a Jewish scholar.

Biography

Born in Romania, had an academic career in England before becoming in 1902 the President of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York and architect of the American Conservative Jewish movement

Works on Second Temple Judaism
