Overview

The Life of Apollonius of Tyana by Philostratos of Athens is the major sources for the life of Apollonius. The following publication of Hierocles' Lover of Truth, in which the lives of Jesus and APollonius were compared, prompted an apologetic treatise from Eusebius, Against the Life of Apollonius of Tyana.
