Alfred Plummer (1841-1926) was a British scholar.

Biography

Alfred Plummer was born at Heworth, Gateshead, in 1841.

Educated at Exeter College, Oxford, he was a Fellow at Trinity College Oxford (1865), and Professor of New Testament (1874) at the University College Durham.

He wrote commentaries to several NT documents.

He died in Devonshire in 1926.
