Biography
Bible scholar. Professor at Princeton Theological Seminary for more than 40 years. Chair of the Committee of Translators for the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.
Contribution to Second Temple Jewish Studies
Metzger's major contribution was in the field of the OT Apocrypha.
