Léon Bonnat (1833-1922) was a French artist.

Biography

Léon Bonnat was born in Bayonne [France] on June 20, 1833. From 1846 to 1853 he lived in Madrid [Spain], where he received his artistic training. Back to France, he became one of the leading artists of his day, and professor at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in 1882. He died on September 8, 1922.
