Overview
In Western Europe there were no Death Camps. The Nazis wanted the extermination of European Jews to happen in Eastern Europe in secrecy. Drancy (France), Fossoli (Italy), Malines (Belgium) and Westerbork (Netherlands) were Transit Camps where the imprisoned Jews were concentrated before their deportation "to the East".
