Charles Reznikoff (1918-1976) was an American Jewish poet of Russian descent.

Biography

Born in New York, NY. Lived and wrote in relative obscurity for most of his life. Only in the 1970s his poetry began to be known and appreciated. Full recognition, however, came after the death of the poet.
