Barbara Hershey

Barbara Hershey (b.1948) is an American actress, whose career spans nearly 50 years on television and in cinema. In The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Martin Scorsese, she offered a memorable performance as Mary Magdalene, a prostitute who in a dream that Jesus of Nazareth had on the cross, becomes his beloved wife. For this role Hershey received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Motion Picture.
