Ursus is a minor character in Quo Vadis? who has enjoyed an extraordinary success in the movies. Already in the 1920s there were several spin-offs with Ursus as protagonist.

Performing Ursus (cinema & television)
From 1912 to 1924 Bruto Castellani was Ursus in the two major cinematic versions of Quo Vadis? and several spin-off movies.
The Ursus saga of the 1960s is associated with American actor Ed Fury even though he was the protagonist of only 3 of the 9 films of the series.
Radomir Kovacevic and Rafal Kubacki are the interpreters of Ursus in the two most recent productions of "Quo Vadis?".
