Amahl and the Night Visitors (1986) is a children's novel by Gian Carlo Menotti and Frances Frost, illustrated by Michele Lemieux. Based on Amahl and the Night Visitors (1951 Menotti), opera.

Abstract

Very popular narrative adaptation of Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera by American poet and novelist preserves the exact dialogue of the libretto.

A first edition of the text had been published in 1952 with illustrations by Roger Duvoisin.
