Written in 1688. Premiered at Saint-Cyr [France]: Saint-Cyr-l'École (Mme. de Maintenon's school for young ladies), 26 January 1689; and was then produced in Paris: Comédie-Française, 8 May 1721. Published in Paris [France]: Thierry, 1689.
