Joel Carlmichael (1915-2006) was an American writer and historian.

Biography

Joel Carlmichael was born December 31, 1915 in New York, NY into a Jewish family.

He published biographies and historical works of various subjects, especially Russian history. In his highly popular books on early Christianity he supported the thesis that Jesus was a Zealot revolutionary.

Carlmichael died January 27, 2006 in New York, NY.
