The Council of Christian and Jews (CCJ) is a British interfaith association engaged in the Christians-Jewish dialogue, founded in 1942.
History
Starting with the foundation of the London Society of Christians and Jews in 1927, the first Christian-Jewish organizations appeared in the Anglo-American world. In 1942, facing the dramatic challenges of World War II, all groups working in the United Kingdom decided to coordinate into one body. After the Holocaust, the Council became part of the "International Council of Christians and Jews", born in 1946 to gather all associations engaged in the Jewish-Christian dialogue.
