Maren R. Niehoff (b.1963) is an Israeli scholar at the Department of Jewish Thought at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Born in Oberhausen, Germany, Niehoff studied Jewish Studies, Literature and Philosophy in Berlin and Jerusalem, and gained her PhD from the University of Oxford in 1989. In 1989-91 she was Junior Fellow at the Society of Fellows at Harvard University. Since 1991 she has been working at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
