Charles H. Talbert (b.1934) is an American scholar.

Biography

Charles H. Talbert earned his BA from Samford University, his BD from the Southern Baptist Seminary, and his PhD from Vanderbilt University.

From 1963 to 1996 he taught at Wake Forest University as Assistant Professor of Religion (1963-68), Associate Professor (1968-74), Professor (1974-89), and Wake Forest Professor of Religion (1989-96).

Since 1996 he has joined the Faculty of Baylor University as Distinguished Professor of Religion (1996-).
