Ernest Best (1917-2004) was a British scholar.
Biography
Clergyman, theologian, NT scholar. Ernest Best received his PhD (1948) from Queen's University, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Lecturer in Biblical Literature and Theology at the University of St Andrews, 1963-1974. Professor of Divinity and Biblical Criticism at the University of Glasgow, 1974-1982.
