Born in Italy, Paisiello had a successful international career. From 1776 to 1784 he moved to Russia as music director for Catherine the Great. On his way back to Italy, he visited Poland and Austria  Died in Italy. In 1802-03 Paisello lived in paris at the invitation of Napolean.
