"Una vicenda che si svolge tutta nella fortezza di Macheronte, ai confini della Galilea, dove Giovanni il Battista è prigioniero per ordine di Erode Antipa, il quale mal ha sopportato le pubbliche invettive del Battista che avevano per bersaglio la sua vita privata. Al fianco di Erode, vive l’ambiziosa cognata Erodiade, che per seguirlo ha abbandonato suo marito; mentre la principessa Shaudat, prima moglie di Erode, sta organizzando un esercito per vendicare l'offesa".

The Trial of Salome (2006) is a play by Bob Pavlich.

Abstract

For The Trial of Salome, playwright and director Bob Pavlich has cut together original transcripts from the trial of Maud Allan with adapted excerpts from Wilde's play. With the exception of Salome, all the cast plays double roles.
