Minerva Teichert (1888-1976) was an American artist and a member of the Mormon Church. Teichert was born in Ogden, UT and grew up in Idaho. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and then at the Art Students League of New York. After marrying, she settled in Wyoming. She is best known for her art depiction of Western and Mormon subjects. Her most distinguished achievement was the mural she painted inside the Manti Utah Temple (1946-47). Many of her paintings are now preserved at the Brigham Young University Museum of Art.
