Biography
Holocaust survivor, as a child remained hidden in France while his parents perished at Auschwitz. Professor at the Ecole pratique des hautes etudes, from 1969. As a historian, specialized in the history of Ancient Greece, as well as in issues of contemporary French history and politics.
