Overview
Ptolemy III Euergetes, the eldest son and successor of Ptolemy II Philadelphus, was the third ruler of the Ptolemaic dynasty.
He married Berenice II.
He fought successfully against the Seleucids in the so-called Third Syrian War.
Ptolemy III was succeeded by his son Ptolemy IV Philopator.
