On November 10, 1949, the German Coordination Council was established  with headquarters in Bad Nauheim. The Deutscher Koordinierungsrat (DKR) / German Coordinating Council is a German interfaith association engaged in the Christians-Jewish dialogue, founded in 1949.

History

After World War II, in 1948-49 the first local associations of Jewish-Christian dialogue was founded in München, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt/M., Stuttgart and Berlin. On November 10, 1949, the German Coordination Council was established with headquarters in Bad Nauheim. The Council has promoted the formation of numerous local groups in West Germany and since the German reunification in 1989, also in former East Germany.
