International Council of Christian and Jews is an international interfaith umbrella association of national groups engaged in the Christians-Jewish dialogue, founded in 1946.
History
Starting with the foundation of the London Society of Christians and Jews in 1927, the first Christian-Jewish organizations appeared in the Anglo-American world. After the Holocaust, the French historian Jules Isaac led the movement for the creation of "Jewish-Christian Friendship" organizations in continental Europe. The "International Council of Christians and Jews" was born in 1946 to gather all associations engaged in the Jewish-Christian dialogue.
