István Küzmics (1723-1779) was a Slovenian scholar.

Biography

He was born at Strukovci [Slovenia] around 1723. He was a Lutheran minister and leader of the Slovenes in Hungary. In 1771 he translated the New Testament into the local Slovenian-Prekmurian dialect. He died at Surd [Hungary] on December 22, 1779.
