Arthur Hjelt (1868-1931) was a Finnish scholar.

Biography

In 1912 (until his death) Hjelt was (with S.E. Stenij and T.J. Schwartzberg) one of three original Committee members appointed by the Synod of the Finnish Church to revise the text of the Finnish Bible. Their work led in the 1930s to the publication of Pyhä Raamattu (1932-38 Mannermaa), book.
