Vasily Surikov (1848-1916) was an Russian artist.
Biography
Surikov was born January 24, 1848 in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.
In 1877 he settled in Moscow, where he made a name for himself as a painter of large-scale historical subjects.
Surikov died March 19, 1916 in Moskow [Russia].
